Position in General:
The Events Associate will assist the Events Team in the
planning and execution of the Chamber
’s nearly 250
events
every year
.
In particular, the Associate will support the Chamber’s
major events/conferences by tracking RSVPs, following up on
sponsorship information, working on initial event planning,
designing printed materials, completing post-event reports, etc. The
successful candidate also needs to support the Chamber’s daily
events as needed.
Position Responsibilities:

Be involved in the special event/conference initial planning
and information research
-
Maintain and keep special event/conference attendee databases
accurate and updated
-
Solve special event/conference related inquiries or issues
(via telephone and/or email)

Coordinate with special event/conference venues and vendors
-
Handle the Chamber’s daily and special event
registrations on-site
-
Be able to handle basic events/meetings independently

Assist the events managers for any event-related
administrative work
-
Handle any other duties or projects as directed by Director of
Events

Work Experience:
At least 5 years event, hotel, service
industry or event management experience.
